Who should complete a sustainability declaration?
The declaration is designed to be completed by the property owner or a delegated individual. If an owner is unable to complete the form, they can seek help from another person to complete it on their behalf as long as the owner signs it. Where an owner cannot sign the form, a person authorised under a power of attorney or other statutory power may sign the form. Source: Department of Infrastructure and Planning Website

Can my real estate agent complete the QSD?
Yes they can, however when it is not possible for the owner to sign the form, a person authorised under a power of attorney or other statutory power may sign the form.

Do I need to be present at the time of the QSD service?
The owner, a person representing the owner or an agent may be present at the time of the QSD Service.

What do i do with the QSD once it is complete?
A copy will be provided to the owner, your realestate agent and QSD will also keep a copy on file.

Do advertisements need to refer to the sustainability declaration?
Yes. Under the new legislation, from 1 January 2010 real estate agents and private sellers cannot publish an advertisement for the sale of a property unless the advertisement includes information about where a copy of the sustainability declaration can be obtained. This requirement applies to online listings, real estate agency window pane advertisements,letterbox drops of advertising materials and all other forms of advertising.

Can i order the service if im not present, interstate, or overseas?
Yes just organise a representative or agent to meet with our service staff. A copy of your QSD will be faxed or mailed to you for it to be signed.

How much is the QSD Home Service?
$99 for all home and units. *

What areas do we service?
Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba. If you are outside this area please contact us and we can organise a QSD Service through our contacts in Far North and Western Queensland.

How long does the QSD service take?
Approximatly 1 - 2 hrs depending on the size of the house or unit.
